  29. I never heard of cutting anything on a Rev. 6 and up. As I understand it (and 
  30. used for many years) there is no modification needed.
  31.  
  32. However you are right about the modification on the Rev. 3 and Rev. 5. There, 
  33. pin 1 and pin 31 have to be jumpered.
  34.  
  35. And in the instructions that came with 3.1, it states:
  36.  
  37.   For Rev. 3 and Rev. 5 boards, the ROM must have Pin 1 connected to Pin 31.
  38.  
  39.   For Rev. 6A and above, the ROM must not have any connection.
  40.  
  41. The last part means no jumper as there was for Rev. 3 and Rev. 5.
